its not that bad..i mean if thats your last resort and if you need one really bad, then go for it, its not like you cant fix all those little problems that is there on the car, and what are you gonna expect from a salvage car? IMO just grab it..

yeah, except for the possible frame damage and other serious problems associated with a salvaged car. even if the guy says it is a theft salvage, he could be lying. salvage titles arn't specified, so you never know what the hell happened to it.

thx guys. i have talked to the guy .. and he said 1700 is as low as he can go.. so i backed off.. i wonder who is going to buy a salvaged 92 HB for 1700
Well I finalized the deal with my Civic tonight, now it's sitting in my driveway. It's a white 92 Civic cx hatch. 5 speed, 99,500 miles, clear title, has a rust spot on the left quarter panel where all civics have rust. the passengers side quarter panel is fine. The headgasket is leaking, but it still drives fine. I'm gonna do that next week, in addition to timing belt, valve seals, and water pump, for maintenance. I paid $800. You live in Houston, there appear to be a lot of good deals coming from there, on ebay and such. best of luck to you
