Yesterday I had my car parked in the parking lot for my work. Same space which my car occupies every other day. It is far away from the car in the space next to it. No door dings makes J
N happy. Anyway...was in work when I got a call from the parking attendant in the lot saying my car was hit.
2003 Navigator backed into the driver's side front corner. Smashed the bumper, hood, fender, headlight...quote on damage was $3K.
Needless to say I was not happy...yet at the same time I was. Front end getting owned by a stupid women driving an SUV, talking on her cell phone while backing up, and not paying attention = New JDM Front End and getting my whole car repainted through the rapage of her insurance.
Will post pics once I get them from Vincent. (jdmEK_161)

I also found it funny that my car got hit on the same day that I got the license plates I order for my R for her b-day...now she gets a JDM b-day gift too I guess...

i thought navigators had back-up sensors....?
How does one 'request' that their car get a full repaint after an accident like this??
I am in a similar situation, as about 2/3 of my car needs to be painted and/or blended from my recent accident. Insurance guy is supposed to take a look today. I'd really like the whole thing repainted, not just the rear 2/3 of the car. Any advise?

You can't really request that your whole car get repainted...but what you can do is talk to the body shop that is doing the work. If they are going to blend the paint into the doors and stuff like that, they might as well just repaint the whole thing. Just ask them how much more you have to cough up to get the whole thing repainted on top of what the insurance company is paying.
After I get the money from her, pay for the front end and put everything on, I am going to have about $900 left over, so that is going into paint. Now that doesn't cover the whole thing, so I have to cough up about $1100 of my own to get it done. But the way that I am looking at it...I am essentially paying $1100 for a JDM Front end AND getting my entire car repainted. Pretty Good deal.

N who is stoked now that finals are over and his Kaaa will be purrrty again soon.

It had it...I remeber seeing the sensors on the back of the bumper, obviously the thing didn't work otherwise I wouldn't have the nice dent that I do now.

Damn, sorry to hear that.. It's not the SUVs that I hate.. It's the STUPID, **** women behind the wheel of these HUGE trucks, Expeditions, Navigators, Suburbans, etc. They cant drive a tri-cycle, let alone a huge truck. Also, they don't pay attention, talking on cell phone, looking in mirror, etc. They are so ****** STUPID.. DIE YOU ******... Sorry about the rant..
