Default Has anyone made 350ish wheel hp in w/ a LS motor on pump gas?

If so, what's your setup?

Thanks.

Or, what will it take?

Will this do it?

Ls motor b18b
9.5:1 Pistons
Eagle Rods
Ti Retainers
Dual valve springs (Reving to 7500)
Inline-pro t3 Manifold or will a drag III manifold work?
to4e 60trim .63a/r or 60-1 .63 a/r (preferably t04e)
JG intake manifold
Drag III Piping
Drag III Intercooler
Deltagate
HKS BOV
Hondata
RC 550's
Will this setup make 350whp @ 15psi on pump Gas?

If not, what do we need to change???

I dont know about the amount of boost or the fuel you'd need to run, but sounds like on that set-up the only thing you might want to upgrade would be your intercooler. Also what fuel set-up would you be running? Other than that looks like you could make 350 WHP easy, providing you have the correct fuel system...

I could have made over 300whp on race gas pretty easily on the stock motor at 1 bar. I will be redynoing sometime in Jan for 375whp on pump gas. Stock head, 9.5:1 JE's and Eagle rods. May try and push 400whp on some C16, but the stock LS head may hold me back some.

Well I made 260 whp and 206 ft lbs at 7 lbs on 91 octane. I was just scratching the surface of tuning the AEM, well about 80-85% tuned. I know with 8 more pounds of boost I would have made some positive numbers.

Here was my setup(I say was since I just picked up a PR3/99 Si head and took the LS head off on Friday).

B18A Block
B18 Head

Step decked block
Sleeved
83mm JE 9.5:1 flat tops
Crower Rods
ARP rod bolts
GSR Bearings
Micropolished crank
Balanced/Blued
B16 oil pan
B16 oil pick up
Ported/Polished head/combustion chamber work(83mm w/blended bowls)
Stainless Valves(.5 bigger intake, plus longer)
Portflow dual springs
Crower Ti retainers
Custom ground LS cams
ARP head studs
AEM cam gears
AEM fuel rail
RC 800 cc injectors
B&M FPR w/gauge
Skunk2 intake mani
Stock throttle body
MaxRev exhaust mani(Log style)
T03/T04E Garret(a/r .63, a/r .60 compress .57 trim, stage 3 wheel)
Custom 2.5 inch piping
XS intercooler(20x10.75x3)
3 inch down pipe(custom)
3 inch open exhaust
MSD 6AL
Blater 3 coil
MSD cap
Stock plug wires
NGK BRK7Es(gapped at 31)
AC Delco 3 bar map sensor
Balist Resistor pack
Walbro 255 intake fuel pump
Misc steel braided lines
Misc Earl's fittings
Greddy Profec B
Greddy timer
Greddy 60 mm boost
Greddy 60 mm EGT
Greddy60 mm A/F
Stock cooling system(working good so far)
ES lower motor mounts
HASport driverside drag mount
No A/C
No Powersteering
No Cruise Control
LS tranny w/Quaife LSD
ACT Xtreme w/6 puck
Stock Flywheel
Stock axles

AEM Plug n Play EMS(semi tuned)

All stuffed in a 99 Si coupe!

BTW, do you need any LS stuff? I'm selling the following: LS head that is ported, polished, 5 angle valve job and combustion chamber work. I also have a Skunk2 intake mani for the LS, Dual High Rev Valve Springs, ARP LS head studs and Crower TI retainers. All work done by RS Motorsports and parts were used for 5000 miles on my turbo motor.

I think its been done already, but I would still run race gas when I was boosting that high, just to be safer.

that set up wont make 350whp. it will make good power, over 300 im sure. but 350 might be a bit farfetched. its not that different from my set up and i still have a long way to go to 350.

Almost,

You'll need bigger injectors.
And you need to run more than 15 psi (not much, but more) to make 350 whp.
a 46, 50, 54 trim TO4E will all do the job for you, the 60-1
is too big for a 1.8l, your just not flowing enough (CFM).
I recommend a 46 trim.
If you keep it under 25 psi.

I made 333 whp on a B16A. with similar set-up @ 18psi.
On pump gas.

be careful about choosing too large a compressor.
Look closely at the flow maps and you'll see.

DiRep - What do you recommend changing in that equation to make 350whp?

Thanks.

How much are you asking for the head? Is the valve train stock? How much is it ported? Thanks alot man.

Changes to your set-up:

Injectors: you need larger than 550cc.
More boost: you can't make 350whp on 15psi. Unless you build a 2.3L
3 inch exhaust.
ARP head studs

For engine longevity I would go with 9:1 pistons. Plus this is more common.

w/ the right fuel pressure and tuning, I've seen people run 20+ pounds on 550's...

If u really wanna make big power on pump gas, lower ur compression to 8.5:1 and run 20psi.

get a set of endyn rollerwave pistons, you can run some seriouisly high cylinder pressures on pump gas due to their unique piston face design

Where do u get ur info? There was somebody with a b18c bored out to a 1.9 running 15psi and had 39Xwhp on here about 3 months ago.

GSR has VTEC, LS does not.

So, Jason hopes to make 350hp, by adding a T04E to project low budget........

On the dyno and for the past year the car has been running 20 psi out of a T3/T04B which yielded a 11.8 @ 119; to make the 11.6 pass, the car was on a 35 shot of nitrous.. we have since jetted up to a 50 shot. The car weighs in at 2490 with the roll cage and driver. I am planning on getting her a T04E soon, hopefully we can get 350 on pump gas and then spray a small shot on that and drop it into the 10s, or at least very low 11s. thanks for the support

jason"

I assume it will be a 20psi like he ran with the T04B, and pump gas. So if I run 20psi, I will have more or less the same setup, with the addition of rods/pistons. Sound realistic? Thanks.
