Default Thick Headgasket

Guys I need some help. I want to lower the compression on m stock D16Y8 from 9.6:1 to say maybe 9.2:1. My setup is gonna be a TD04H Mitsubishi turbocharger on a stock SOHC VTEC engine with 440cc injectors an upgraded Walbro fuel pump some colder spark plugs and wires and maybe a blockguard gonna run 10-12 pounds and tuned by Hondata and my goodfriend Jeffrey Atwood. So in essence I need to know where to find a good-thick aftermarket headgasket.

Why lower it? Keep it the way it is, since you are going to get it tuned. 9.6:1 is already considered low compression.

Compression is your turbo's best friend!

Only because I would like to run 10psi of boost safely right now this is my only motor and I can't afford to blow this **** up. I do agree that 9.6:1 is considered low but I just wanna be on the safe side. Do you know of any good headgaskets?

Invest in a blockgaurd and some tuning instead. I think this topic just came up a few days ago, too?

yup, keep it where it is and get a blockguard...i will be running slightly over 10:1 cuz it will make more power on lower boost...

Just keep the stock gasket. Any thing else you are going to have to o- ring the block. Plus, that I believe would be your weakest point. You don't want to blow a headgasket, maybe consider some arp head bolts and stock honda head gasket. That's what I have.

Instead of dropping the compression, why not just hold the boost to 8 lbs and get the same power? That will save you the cost of a new gasket.
