Default Boosted b18c5 with headgasket.

Alright this isn't your typical "I have low compression pistons how much can I boost." My question is, if I hav a b18c5 and I haev a headgasket that gives me roughly 9:1 compression, what do you all think would be safe to run boost wise? I don't have afc, don't have ems, don't have hondata. I'm using fmu with stock pump and 310 injectors.

My question is, do you think it would be safe to run around 12 or 14 psi? I know on stock compression there is no way in hell, but I was thinking that with that compression you could do it with forged pistons and rods, would it be safe to do it with just a headgasket reducing your compression? Let me know ppl!!!!

I have a inline pro head gasket, block gaurd, cartech FMU, 450cc injectors, 255lph pump, missing link, and afc and run 15psi daily. the inline HG drops you to about 9.6:1 compression. unless you have the mods I have I wouldn't run over 8 psi cause you won't have enough fuel and you have no way to tune it cause you don't have a AFC

exactly what he said...invest in a fuel pump...$90 and a set of DSM 440cc injectors and then u can run some reasonable amount of boost

I wouldn't do anything on stock pistons with that much compression PERIOD. If you want reliability go forged!

The whole point of the headgasket is to lower your compression....Im running the inline pro headgasket on my b16 (lowers compression from 10:4:1 to 9:4:1) and run 1bar on pump gas.

Get the head gasket, save for Hondata, save for tuning and save for injectors. That's what you should do. Why do you want to worry about your motor every time you are pushing it?

i thought you had an EMS..??..my friends type-r had an inline pro 3mm headgasket, rc 550 injectors, hondata s200, and was tuned by the best..made 328 on 12-13 psi and is currently sitting in the garage with a blown number 3 cylinder.

Your week point becomes the stock ring lands...My compression was lowered with a thicker headgasket too, but then I blew 2 ring lands and the head gasket...thats only at 8psi....at 15psi and stock internals, you're really pressing your luck...YOUR ENGINE WILL NOT LAST LONG....

if you don't miss gears and bounce the rev limiter your ring lands will hold
