Default What piston size do I need for B18C1??

I am will be putting pistons in my '99 GSR and will not be pulling the block out of the car. I know that the bore is 81mm. I plan on doing 9:1 Comp. pistons with stock bore, and all I will be doing is honing it.

What size (bore) will I need to get if I'm just honing? Just 81mm?

Thanks, Michael

huh?

When you do a hone job on the block, all your doing a creating a cross hatch on your cylinder wall.

That depends on how many passes with a hone device you do. Too many passes and you're moving into "bore" territory.

I PERSONALLY would recommend pulling the block to do a full overbore (.020) with oversize pistons.. but if thats out of the question, and you just throw a new crosshatch on the walls, yes... you will order a 81mm piston set.
