ls turbo or b16a all motor???
i currently have an lsvtec motor in my car that i cant get to run right, and have already spent more money on the motor then what i would have spent on a new car haha, so i wanna get rid of it. im thinking about either getting a stock b16a longblock (again) or possibly puttin an ls motor in it and turbo it. i have quite a few bolt ons that will work on the b16a, but ls turbo sounds like much more fun, and more pain and agony. anybody with good suggestions let me know....... thanks
Try the B16a all motor if you already have a lot of good parts for it. But if you want big power for less money, sell off all your bolt-ons and go for a LS motor with a turbo kit. I'm trying to go B16a all motor on my crx, but for the money it's not going to be nearly as fast as a LS motor with a turbo kit. It all depends on your budget I guess.
Go for the LS turbo...i think that youll have a WHOLE lot more fun than you would with the b16 all motor. Look at it this way...you can do the b16 all motor thing and keep up with turbo eclipses...OR you could do the LS turbo and SMOKE mustangs.

Or you could turbo a b18c1.... or supercharge it.
A b18c1 turbo'd with a FMIC in a crx would be VERY fun!
I think if you did a LS turbo 6-8psi, FMIC w/ good fuel managment, it would be fun, too.
the LS eng is a low compression to begin with. just be sure to have good supporting parts, dont cheap out on the smaller stuff.

i'm from severn btw...not too far from baltimore
oh and lsturbo IMO would be the best route....i'm trying to decide if I want to go LS turbo or LSVTEC....

go lsturbo thats what i think im gonna go with and somone said that you could smoke mustangs. so far i dont really have anything done to my ls crx (intake, headers, exahust) and i can beat mustang 5.0's with no problem, with a turbo you should be able to hang or bet with a viper i heard a turbo on a ls in a crx with 8lbs of boost will get a 12.3 in the 1/4 and a viper runs i think a 12.4 (depending on tuning and driver)

how about a stock block ls turbo hatch running 11psi? try 12.5 @110 on street tires. this is a 92 hatch. its 93lsivic's on here. I don't think its rediculous to think you can go 12.3 in a crx ls turbo just maybe not at 8 psi
