Default ls turbo or b16a all motor???

i currently have an lsvtec motor in my car that i cant get to run right, and have already spent more money on the motor then what i would have spent on a new car haha, so i wanna get rid of it. im thinking about either getting a stock b16a longblock (again) or possibly puttin an ls motor in it and turbo it. i have quite a few bolt ons that will work on the b16a, but ls turbo sounds like much more fun, and more pain and agony. anybody with good suggestions let me know....... thanks

Try the B16a all motor if you already have a lot of good parts for it. But if you want big power for less money, sell off all your bolt-ons and go for a LS motor with a turbo kit. I'm trying to go B16a all motor on my crx, but for the money it's not going to be nearly as fast as a LS motor with a turbo kit. It all depends on your budget I guess.

Go for the LS turbo...i think that youll have a WHOLE lot more fun than you would with the b16 all motor. Look at it this way...you can do the b16 all motor thing and keep up with turbo eclipses...OR you could do the LS turbo and SMOKE mustangs.

Crap... i don't want to admit it but he's right.

Or you could turbo a b18c1.... or supercharge it.

A b18c1 turbo'd with a FMIC in a crx would be VERY fun!

I think if you did a LS turbo 6-8psi, FMIC w/ good fuel managment, it would be fun, too.
the LS eng is a low compression to begin with. just be sure to have good supporting parts, dont cheap out on the smaller stuff.

burning oil really bad, which could possibly be a number of things... and just not running right, i wouldnt recommend lsvtec only because they werent meant to be together, kinda like me and my ex hahaha, but im thinkin ls turbo as well, im alittle tired of the all motor thing.... thanks for all your input everybody....

motors make me mad

either way its a whole other project, which i dont know if i wanna get involved again, my car sucks anyway...... rattles, leaking blah blah blah, its a 90 what should i expect, im really considering parting the thing out and puttin a stock b16 back in it, selling the car and the motor and startin all over with something new, possibly a teg gsr, i have plenty of money but not to waste on something im not gonna get anything out of.... ill let you know if im parting out soon

99b16a head
crower 403 cams
crower springs and retainers
type r intake manifold
skunk cam gears
aem intake
dc header
aem fuel rail
rc 320 injectors
bm fpr
hondata stage 3

ls block
ctr pistons
polished ls rods

all this equals lots of money, and a 14 second car
i guess keep or get rid of is the question now?????

go lsturbo thats what i think im gonna go with and somone said that you could smoke mustangs. so far i dont really have anything done to my ls crx (intake, headers, exahust) and i can beat mustang 5.0's with no problem, with a turbo you should be able to hang or bet with a viper i heard a turbo on a ls in a crx with 8lbs of boost will get a 12.3 in the 1/4 and a viper runs i think a 12.4 (depending on tuning and driver)

werd. i heard that if you use this new high performance blinker fluid you can run 10's. (or 9's with the optional ceramic exhaust bearings.)

b16 turbo.....running low 12s will take more than slapping a turbo on a ls motor

how about a stock block ls turbo hatch running 11psi? try 12.5 @110 on street tires. this is a 92 hatch. its 93lsivic's on here. I don't think its rediculous to think you can go 12.3 in a crx ls turbo just maybe not at 8 psi

a friend of mine in a crx with an ls ran 12.9 with slicks.... all motor. i think with some boost low 12s are possible, maybe high 11's
thats funny
