Default Block Guard questions...

Are there any advantages to installing a block guard in my stock ITR motor along with a thicker Head Gasket. I would consider both of these more or less safety precautions in my opinion. I was wondering if that is correct logic or a waste of time and $$ on my part.
Thanks for any info.

If you're stock then its pointless. When you start boosting then its another story.

TTT
Yeah I'm turbo, 7psi for now. Want to see how much power I can put down with stock pistons & rods I want to turn the boost up a bit so I thought maybe a block guard and a slightly thicker head gasket would be some good precautions? I'm taking care of fuel too just for the record.
Thanks for any info.

if you have the block apart already sleeve it. be careful installing the guard if you go that route it's not difficult to warp the cylinders.
