Help with 5sp ignition
Hey guys, i have a 2008 accord ex manual 5 speed. I lost the key to it and the car has been sitting for a couple of years but im trying to get it back road ready. My plan was to buy the cheapest key programmer i could find (80 on aliexpress, t300) and program my own keys with an ignition swap. When i went to look for ignitions they all say "wont work with manual" and then other places i read that you can put a auto ignition in a manual car but not a manual ignition in an automatic car.
The ignition itself works fine, if all i really need is the cylinder and the keys but i dont want to buy the wrong thing. Also can a oem id46 chip car use a 8e or id48 chip or do i need to make sure whatever i buy is the same chip that came in the car oem.
The car needs alot of work and isnt worth much, its trashed basically just sentimental, so im trying to come out as cheap as possible. If i can just swap cylinders and program keys that would be the best for me if someone could link the correct part i would need. Thank you
