1st ever build and desperately need some help.
So this is my first ever build and I have no idea how to identify this problem. Car is a 99 civic lx, Motor is a d16z6. So I have built my motor from top to bottom, acl race bearings, eagle rods, arias pistons 76mm,
Brian crower valves, springs and retainers and a stock cam and stock y8 crank cause it’s all I had to put in it. All sensors are new and calibrated properly(checked with a volt reader), I changed all fuel components to match the z6 so I could cross that solution out, timing marks line up correctly with the cam gear and the pulley marks line up with the timing covers as it should. I wired in vtec and the 2 wire iac. My car idles properly, almost insanely good. Car takes off like a bat out of hell continues perfect acceleration in second but when I shift to third, fourth or fifth it just falls on its face and struggles to go. It almost feels like I changed gears to early but I can shift into third at 50ish mph and it still just falls dead on its face. I have changed all sensors and gaskets and torqued every nut and bolt to spec. Can anyone please give me a direction that I’ve not done.
Also, it is obd1 converted with a p28 and jumper harness on the distributor. Stock ecu as of now, turbo is coming once I make it run correctly.

Other than upgrading the internals it is stock. The ecu is a stock p28. My plans as of rn are just to run it N.A. stock until I get the turbo in about 6 months or so.
