LSVtec not engaging VTEC EK
Hey all,
So recently I did a LSVtec swap in my 97 EK hatch and I've run into an issue with my vtec not engaging. It worked before I had to fix something with the bottom end but now the car's back together and the vtec isn't working. I'm running a chipped P72 on crome and I'm on a base map. The car has a code 21 (VTEC Solenoid Spool Valve) and it wont erase. The car did go into limp mode but eventually stopped but the vtec still doesn't work. I checked the solenoid and everything is working the way it should and the gaskets are new. Oil pressure is well over 55psi and there is oil in the motor. Has anyone ran into this issue or how could I fix it?
Setup:
B18b1 bottom end
B16 PR3 head

Based on what you have described above, you either have a bad ECU or there is a break in the wire between the ECU and the VTEC Solenoid.
I checked all the connections to both the solenoid and the pressure sensor and both work fine and everything worked fine before. Is this something a tuner may have to look at? Or other ways to erase the ecu?
