B16a2 Hitting VTEC at 6K
Just bought a 97 ek hatch with a b16 swap, it always hit VTEC at around 6000 rpms. I had the car checked out and I have a low pressure point in the fuel system. Could this be causing it to engage late?

People I've talked to have told me that its a bit late and it should be engaging at around 5K, I was just wondering if it really should be around there and if so what I need to do.

VTEC engagement point depends on the ECU. A 97 "EK" hatch means he probably has a JDM B16 ECU or chipped ECU with a 6k crossover.
USDM 99-00 Si ECUs have VTEC set around 5600RPM. JDM ones have it set closer to 6k RPM.
Also, what does "low pressure point in the fuel system" mean? By "checked out the fuel system" do you mean "I did not check anything really?"

PCT ECU crossover is 6200. Like everyone said check your ECU specs or if it is chipped. Either way it doesnt sound like a serious problem. But you can always clean the solenoid and change your oil.
