It seems alright. You might not need to rev it to 9500 RPM, you can probably get the power less than 9000rpm.
For clutches you probably need to use a twin disk. I have the Action Ironman single disk and it’s rated to 600ft/lbs of torque.

Share the build here if you follow through with it. Definitely not may people building high WHP D series in 2021.

Head: I would suggest getting the head CNC ported, I am not sure if you are going for 700whp or less but with a D series motor to hit those goals I think you will really want to do some port work.
Bisimoto 3.6 Camshaft
aem adjustable cam gear
skunk2 springs and retainers
skunk2 valves
new valve guides
skunk2 pro series intake ported to 70mm
skunk2 70mm throttlebody

Block: This looks good
CP 76mm pistons
Saenz 300m connecting rods with 625 bolts
Darton mid block sleeve kit
K/B series L19 headstud kit

Transmission: I'm not sure what your intentions are for this car but 700whp on a D series Trans is probably going to be an issue.
4.06 final drive
Mfactory LSD
Clutch and flywheel kit suggestions? Twin Disk
synchrotech carbon master s40 rebuild kit

Turbo/Supporting Parts:
go autoworks ac compatible turbo kit with PTE 6262 jb turbo with 3inch piping: Not sure that manifold or turbo is going to get you to 700.
silicone intakes ultimate drag racing Air to water intercooler kit: I would not suggest any silicone parts or T-clamps, I would suggest all Vibrant HD clamps and be done.
3inch yonaka exhuast
amazon 19 row oil cooler
mishimoto thermostat for oil cooler
ported and modified oil pump
jegs 63016 vacuum pump for crankcase catch can
Walbro 450lph fuel pump: This won't be enough if your plans are to use Ethanol.
deatschwerks1000cc injectors: Not going to cut it for 700
dual catch can setup (one for block, one for head): Don't need a dual catch can, you can use one.
hondata 4 port boost control solenoid
skunk2 alpha radiator with mishimoto racing thermostat: Don't forget a very reliable fan
brand new water pump
AEM high flow fuel line and adjustable fuel pressure regulator

I agree with AZ on getting a ported head. Honestly for your power goals, I recommend you carefully pick your cam/head/turbo combo. Find a place you trust to do the port work (4Piston and Bad Guys come to mind) and have them help you pick the cam and springs. Some of the bigger cams don't just drop in, and require machine work to clearance the cam tub. I would also recommend Ferrea valves...maybe even their competition plus. For adjustable cam gear, I'd be looking at Golden Eagle because they use good hardware.

You say you want to use K/B series L19 studs in your block, so I'm guessing you're putting in 11mm inserts. I can't remember if they will work in a Y8, but the SRT4 studs are the right length for a Z6. Just make sure you do your research.

For the transmission - I agree with AZ again. Most guys at this power level are using D2B adapters and running B-series transmissions with upgraded internals. MTM Custom Ratios has come on the scene in the last few years supporting D-series transmissions with strong aftermarket gear sets, but they are still a synchro set, if that matters. Right now if you are wanting a dog box, you've gotta go D2B. Don't forget about your axles. There are several companies that offer higher HP rated axles for D-series. If you can find a ZC intermediate shaft you can run the MFactory ZC LSD and use B-series axles, which opens up the possibility of running DSS 5.9's or similar axles. I would only be looking at twin disc clutches at 700 whp.

What kind of driving are you planning for the car? You want a 700 whp car with air-to-water intercooler sounds like a drag specific car...but you also want an AC compatible manifold? Is it street/strip?

450 lph / 1000cc surely won't be enough on E85 (what fuel are you running again?). I tapped out my 1000's at 400 whp. You'll definitely want 2200cc injectors. Or, depending on whether or not the engine management you'll be running will support it, you could run 8 injectors. You'd need a different intake manifold, though. I would not use the AEM fuel pressure regulator - I recommend Aeromotive.

^^ Agreed with their recommendations. Also, that 3.6 is going to require additional headwork in order to fit. I have a buddy local to me running a 3.6 in a Y8. Good cam, he says. His dyno shows a wonderful powerband with lots up top and plenty room to grow. He is limited by his turbo; GTX2871R at 457whp. Anywho. Good luck with the build. Hope to see it develop here!

My $.02 - Considering the amount of money you're looking at spending here, you may want to consider just switching to a more efficient platform unless for some reason you're stuck with the D16 for some sort of regulation or whatever.

If you intend to drive the car on the street, 700hp out of a D16 is going to make for a very unstreetable car with a very narrow powerband. You're also going to be breaking a lot of parts.

Since you have to switch to a B series transmission setup to have a semi-reliable drivetrain, you may want to consider just going full B series. Maybe even K series.

Right, 1000cc/min fuel injectors won’t cut it for 700hp unless there is 8 of them, no matter which fuel is used.
It’s not often people use an air to water intercooler but still have air conditioner. It is possible, but not a lot of space under the hood is available…
