Car was spewing white smoke from exhaust.
Removed cylinder head following this video: Replaced cylinder head gasket using this video: After installing cylinder head and head gasket I got a no start and smelled gas.
Took out spark plugs and they were wet with gas
Test for spark following this video: Next I test for spark from #1 spark plug by unplugging spark plug cable, sticking a long flat head in it and got it as close to a ground bolt and cranked it looking for spark.
SAW NO SPARK.
Then moved to distributor, removed cap, used a test light on the coil and checked for spark and THERE WAS SPARK. So replaced distributor cap and rotor ONLY.
STILL DID NOT START.
Replaced WHOLE distributor and still nothing, still smell gas, still wet sparkplugs, no check engine light.
Its night, so I took out spark plugs to dry over night, hopefully someone can see this and know more than me and help.
Mechanic is coming tomorrow to check it out but will have to wait to see what he says.

 

Make sure the Mech. timing is correct and also make sure the firing order is correct on the spark plug wires.
