Default Peculiar clutch pedal behavior

I've noticed something strange the last couple days: when I engage the clutch, sometimes it seems to start engaging much closer to the floor than normal. It isn't enough to make me jerk the shift or anything, but it's been enough to make me wonder if something is wrong. It also doesn't happen every time, but it's been often enough over the last couple days that I don't think it's a fluke.

I'm planning to bleed the clutch tomorrow to see if that fixes it. Anything else I should check while I'm at it? TIA

Have you tried flushing/bleeding the clutch fluid?

Probably the clutch maste cylinder. At least its not expensive from the dealer, or you could just ignore it.

could be the master, or slave leaking. I wouldn't ignore it, you don't want to be shifting at high rpm with the clutch not fully disengaged, unless you feel like replacing synchros...

I would also change fluid and make sure it's bled really well.

When I had this problem it turned out to be the clutch slave cylinder. Check your fluid, if it is low then you probably have a leak either at the master or slave. Also, my friend had this problem. He just adjusted his and it went away. His clutch only has about 5k miles on it.

Something similar happens to me occasionally...when I rev the motor to a high RPM the clutch pedal seems to go mushy all of a sudden.

Yep, it's the master or slave. Hopefully the slave as it's a hell of a lot easier to change out.. well it produces less back pain anyways

If it's the master, take the drivers seat out when you swap it out.
