Help!! Lost my Vtec!!!!!!!
Well, I put some break in miles on my car, after getting it back from the shop. After having it rebuilt and I put in Je pistons 10:1 compression, Eagle rods and a ACT clutch. When i got it there was a check engine light on. It wont flash ANY codes. And i took it into Vtec range and ITS NOT THERE, just as we thought its in limp mode. But we dont know why. Any Ideas??? thanks nick
When the ECU won't report codes, the first troubleshooting step is normally to substitute a known good ECU.

it could be any number of problems. first things first, make sure the VTEC sol. is hooked up correctly.
If that isn't it, then 90% of the time it's an oil pressure problem. It could require pulling the head and checking to make sure that none of the passages have been blocked. Happened on mine once.... or twice. Ok, three times, but my head has been off like 20 times. Literally. Velcro owns j00.
Oh, if you have a VAFC hooked up... that would be my first place to go, if not, ignore this sentence.

if the ECU won't show a code, it's one of 2 things, a wiring problem, or the ECU. if you know that your ECU is good, then you have to go through and double check all your wires, some plugs ARE alike, so it's possible that you've crossed some when re-installing the engine
