It’s d series 145xxx 5spd there’s a loud knock when idling that gets louder with a bit of throttle but when you get more content rpms it goes away to barley a tap oil is full added a little moly lube any help understanding would be appreciated

 

Can you post a video of the sound at idle? Being that the noise goes away, it helps to eliminate some possibilities, but it would help for anyone trying to help to hear the exact noise.

Bearing forces are highest at idle. An early bearing knock should go away at higher rpms.

 

So where talking s rod bearing

 

Agreed. Usually one of the first tell tale signs when there is an issue - found at idle.

OP, have you noticed any metal shavings (specifically brass looking) in your oil during a recent change? The tough part here is if it is infact a rod bearing, to catch it before it spins on the crankshaft is the key to a less-costly repair. my '95 D16Z6 spun a crankshaft bearing on the No. 3 connecting rod without warning after my oil pump failed and resulted in a full rebuild for me. I would recommend to change your oil to check and see if the damage is visible through shavings of any type.

Well, you can access the crankshaft by removing the oil pan and the oil pickup... that would give you access to the lower section of the connecting rods. You could "possibly" change them out from the bottom? Need to make sure that the crankshaft has not been damaged. Someone that may have done or tried this in the past may chime in, when I did mine I had the engine out of the car.
