Civic 2000 SI Clicking when starting Video in description.
Man I've had this Civic for 6 years and have only been able to drive it for about a year of that 6 lol.
I found that the previous owner had a auto locking mechanism put on the car to open and lock the doors but it looks like he did it himself and now I'm jot able to start it. I'm not entirely sure it's because of this though. I can Jumpstart my car and it runs fine but the second I shut it off it won't turn back on. Any advice is very much appreciated.
Here are two videos to show you what I'm dealing with. It looks like a "Sidewinder 5000". There's also a electric start button that the guy somehow put on the car as well that could be the problem.

Is the clutch pedal stopper at the top of the clutch pedal missing? It presses on the starter switch.
Also cut out the electric start button and twist the two wires together. Does the starter now crank?

Sorry not auto locker, It locks the doors all the doors when I turn the key in one door, like a key fob would do.
I have no Idea what the wires would even look like there is a bundle of wires taped up with electrical tape under the dash, it looks like a mouses nest.

I would do what muellerfan suggested and look at the clutch pedal plastic piece. See attached link

You could always order from Ebay too... https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...witch&_sacat=0
Or, you could go junkin' at your nearest junkyard... I would suspect any 96-00 civic would have this.

I think advance auto had it one time, but for me I opt to stick a big round philips in there, held down by jb weld. No more worries of broken plastic.
