The engine came out of an Acura Integra from Japan and I put it into a 1993 Honda Del Sol.

no it didnt come out of a acura integra in japan thats wrong info

the d15b motor only came out in 92-2000 honda civics in japan and also the del sols 92-98
and since you have a del sol
that means that you are in the wrong section here on honda-tech
this section is for 88-91 only

but i will still help you out bud
the part number your looking for is 31-17404
and thats over at autozone
good luck

Yeah that was a little mean spirited.

So let me ask you a question then. My sons car a 95 do hatch came to us with a d15b. Which is non vtec.. You can also see where a mechanical fuel pump use to reside. What car did this originally come in. It’s stamp d15b. There are no numbers after. So I believe it’s jdm. Any help you can offer.

Thanks
Stacy

Yes, this is a JDM engine (probably from an EF), originally with dual carburetors.

I actually think I remember seeing the motor with dual carbs. It didn’t specify what car though.

yup on your sons 95 the motor has been swapped already
a 95 civic as far as the 1.5s go it would of had the d15b7 or d15b8

Hey guys! I currently own a 1991 civic EF (EC8) European model which has a D13b1 in it (pre obd). I am thinking about putting in a JDM D15B vtec engine from a del sol (eg1). I read that it perfectly fits in the EC8 but i'm not sure about What I need to convert to OBD1. Any info guys? Thanks

Nicholas

are you good with moving some wiring around nicky?
reading a list that tells you what wires are witch on your ecu
and then moving them to a new location ?
you saw the old post already on how to make a jumper harness
you can also buy one premade

you will need a intake mainifold with 4 injectors that well work with the d15 motor
as well as the ecu and distributer that are obd1
with me so far?
if so then make your own thread and well keep talking ^_-

Thanks for the reply, the engine comes with its ecu, distributor and manifold, a full swap basically but since my engine doesn't have an ecu I didn't know there was a jumper harness. Thanks

hi I have a clean 2000 ex coupe with a jdm d15b vtec engine in it. Its fully rebuilt or new.. I got it on trade and it had a stock 1.6 distributor on it. But it idled rough n would surge, and it would run rough under load and wouldn't accelerate right. Eventually it died on me while driving and I'm having a rough time finding a distributor because there are two different options for this engine. And without the oem distributor I don't have the part number now. I am mechanically inclined and would love to wire it up right n get it 100. It literally has a brand new 5 speed trans attached as well. It would be beast when its complete
