Default D16y8 to d15b7

Got a 97 Civic hatch with a bad motor d16y8. I got a d15b7 motor for free that’s running fine. I got both transmissions that came with the cars. What will I need to complete the swap? Any tips will be help full. They are both manual. The d15b7 came out 93 civic sedan also I got some wires and the computer

if keeping it obd-2, you will need a y7 ecu, 3 wire iacv plus convert wiring. your y8 distributor bolts up, as do the rest of the accessories. easiest fix for the iacv issue would be to find a y8 a/t throttle body and mount it to your y8's i/m, which you will use on the b7. if you can convert to obd-1, no iacv fix will be needed. this is all assuming the car in question is a manual, if it's auto this will not work at all, unless you also buy an automatic y7 transmission.

So from what it sound like it’s a pretty easy swap. Also I just updated my post, yes they are both manual and I got all the wiring I believe and the computer

you will still be using the wiring harness from the obd-2 car, no matter what. if you plan on using the p06 from the donor car, you'll need an adapter harness.
