Default Can I install an AWD transmission into my FWD Element?

I have a 2005 Honda Element and the engine blew. I bought an engine with 117K and an automatic transmission but just discovered it an AWD?? Can I easily use this transmission? It bolts up nicely but worried about electronic issues or problems with the pumps or clutches inside. One mechanic said it will be fine and it will spin as if the driveshaft was removed. However Id love to hear from a techie. Thanks

Yes u will be fine u shouldn't have a issue at all, if anything you will most likely want to get all the rear setup and a pilot shaft so you can make use of the awd trans and make the element a awd
