Quaife installation - Who should I trust to install?

Quaife installation - Who should I trust to install?
I called the Honda dealer and they wouldn't do it. I called a local transmission repair chain and was told that it's not possible to install a limited slip in fwd, then he yelled the question to someone in the background then told me they wouldn't do it. I want someone who knows what the hell they're doing, not just someone who will "give it a shot." I don't have a garage, or the confidence to tear apart a work of art like the honda transmission and attempt to modify it. Who should I trust to install this thing in a surgical fashion, like they were trying to save a life?

haha take it from me I tried to install mine but ended up not being able to get the case back on and I crushed a bearing when trying to force the case on. Then I forgot to put the speedo gear on. Luckily I live close to Jotech

Re: Quaife installation - Who should I trust to install? (Evil Beaver)
at 1st i thought an engine swap was nearly impossible and should be left to the experience to do... so what did i do? i was brave and commited enough to take on the challenge myself and 2 yrs later, i can do a complete swap, in and out, in less than 4 hrs by myself..
my next endeavor is indeed doing a quaife install.. at 1st thought, it does look intimidating, but i am determined to not let a quaife get in my way.. I've got a spare dseries tranny in my garage and i'm gonna open that one up and examine the components in there to get an idea and feel on how the actual project is going to go... i'd suggust you do the same if you have a spare tranny laying around...

Where are you located?
92HB_HB, I completely agree with you about learning to do the work yourself. Someday, hopefully I'll have a house with a garage and be able to do those things. Unfortunately, I only have 1 car and live in an apartment so the work I can do on my car is limited.

I only trust lefty and righty...whether it be with the tools in the garage, or the nuts and bolt in my pants.
