Default Oil squirter/cooler sleeved application

Hi guys, I am currently in the process of boring and sleeving a GSR block to 84mm. Upon sleeving can I still use the GSR's oil cooler and oil squirter systems? I am running 84mm Nippon P30 pistons(CAST) with a P72 head. Will I still be able to run the squirter or should I just block them off? This isn't a track build just a DD...thanks in advance!

You can still use the squirters as long as you're keeping the GSR crankshaft.

If you use the LS crank then you'll need to have them bent/tucked slightly, depends somewhat on the pistons how much that will require.

Even with the sleeves they won't get in the way or anything?

Sleeves shouldn't matter. Its the crank counterweights that interfere with the squirters and sometimes the piston skirt when a 89mm or larger crank is used.
Staying with the stock 87mm crank you should be fine.

Keep the squirters. They help reduce piston temperatures which is a good thing. Many believe they are primarily used for lubrication which is incorrect. They are intended to cool the piston.

Pyro hit the nail on the head here.

I am curious though why you're using Nippon pistons after going through all the money to have the block sleeved? it'll work, it's just oem type budget build stuff. almost a waste to sleeve the block just to slap nippon pistons in. you'd be better off using forged pistons with stock bored cyls.

Build it once with what you want. Its a long way back in to replace pistons.
