Default Built LS, GT3076r vs GT3582r

What's up guys, so I am currently in the market to get a turbo for my build but have been a but iffy on which turbo to get. Here's my buid
- Golden Eagle Crank
- Eagle Rods
- CP Pistons 12-1 compression
- CNC block guard
- ARP heat studs, springs, and retainers
- B20 cams
- Victory X intake manifold
- ACL main bearing and rod
I'm gonna go with 2000cc ID injectors and a walboro 450 fuel pump on e85 when I do boost it. I'm looking to make about 500-600hp. I'm stuck between getting a 30r or a 35r and was wondering if anyone has run any of these turbos on here? If so what were your thoughts on it? Thanks in advance!
- Waldo

quite a difference between the turbos, 35r is much larger.....
30r wont make 600hp
depends on your goals and purpose

On my Gsr i have ran both . The 30r is far more street friendly as it has a usable torque band compared to the 35r . I was able to get 525whp out of the 30r close to maxing out though . On the strip the 35r really shines from 3rd gear on figure an additional 125-150whp more compared to the 30r . Most people here don't give a crap about drivability on the street they only want peak numbers .

There are much more options for 600 hp range that'll outperform the older gt35 design. But Garrett reliability and BB chra is the ****

And why are they so reliable? I think its the affects from being able to cool the turbo with actual coolant, instead of just oil.

I agree, our Holset tendencies coming through there ;-). A HX40 with the 14cm2 or 16 cm2 housing and proper split-pulse small runner manifold will be a great option too,

I suggest you change the cams though to help it breathe, the anemic B18 or B20 cams aren't going to support high rpm flow. There are a couple of threads on here discussing cam choices for a built LS turbo. Some guys are running like stage 2 NA cams (Crower) whilst others run LS specific turbo cams.

Have a look at some of the other threads for info.
