Can you use an oil filter relocation kit for your turbo's oil supply?
I came across this at overboost.com:
"Your stock cooling system can usually be teed off with radiator hose and redirected through the turbo to supply coolant. Oil on the other hand will require a certain grade of hose that withstands much higher temperatures. Fittings will need to be created both in your oilpan for the oil drainage line from the turbo and in a source of fresh oil somewhere before the turbo. The easiest solution for that (since most engines require tapping to get a live oil feed) is to install a remote oil filter relocation kit. These attach where your oil filter normally is, re-route the oil to a remotely mounted oil filter, and provides a return line back to the block for the filtered oil. This is the perfect place to tee off the connection and run a line to supply oil to your turbo. Your average kit will run you about $100."
Could you buy one of these and not have to tap into your oil pan???

Well, not to be just unagreeable (if that's a word???) but WHY? it would seem that you take the relocation kit, run it to the filter, then trom the filter to the turbo and back to the in line of your oil relocation kit... That's how it works with your oil filter relocation kit anyways goes somewhere else (to the filter) then back into that same place...! That's how the oil filter relocation works in stock form and works perfectlly!!!! All you would be doing would be adding another (thing in the line) like the filter...
Well this is actually pretty smart, I never thought of something like that... Whoever thought of that has a good way of thinking of things...!

The oil filter relocation would be ok to supply oil to the turbo I suppose, but you still have to return the oil from the turbo to the pan.. or did you mean run the expeled oil from the turbo to the oil filter relocation kit (to the motor side)? In which case I would wonder if there's enough pressure in the line to return the oil to the filter lines..
the problem is that the oil filter relocator makes ALL of the engine oil go thru the relocator. if you put the turbo on the other end, the turbo would be blocking ALL the engine oil, as it flows very little oil compared to the rest of the engine.

Won't work for the return, don't bother trying. The return only works off gravity and any restriction will lead to many turbo problems. Just do it the old skool right way.
