]No start just click with key on full key turn.

Have a B20 in 93 Del Sol:
Starter: brand new
Fuel Pump/Fter: Brand new and primes on pos. 1 key
Fuses: all individually inspected & replaced
Grounds: ones I know inspected and re-inspected
Battery: just replaced and verified by test it's full juice
Main Relay: pulled out circuit. Solders seem intact but not 100% ruled out
Starter Relay: where is that?
Neutral Safe switch: missing plug. Used screw and nut. Results unknown

Car ran fine.... Fuel pump went out and replaced w/ high flow. Couple weeks later I moved car out of garage to bottom of drive way. Had not started since. I turn the key and nothing. Dash comes on.....Fuel pump primes loud and then Suttle click on attempt to key start??? Losing my mind and need suggestions. Ignition switches are 200$+ so wanna rule out anything before I start to just go buy....buy.....buy.....parts

 

which grounds did you check, sand/clean....
the click is usually low voltage which is bad ground or bad battery.

you can also manually jump the starter and see if it spins, just make sure the ignition is OFF and dont stand in front of the car when you do this.

 

Suttle = subtle

 

One from the frame to the trans near the starter. One from frame to valve cover. One by the thermostat housing. The batter is replaced new. The low voltage has to be a ground not the battery in this scenario.

 

I also can no prob jump the starter. I just put the key in.... grab a wrench and by the third arc on the starter terminal the motor runs healthy all day if I let it

 

Iv have the same issue just a week ago, iv replaced fuses, main relays, checked voltage eyc until i decided to check the starter... I took my starter to autozone and had them test it and it FAILED..
So i would say take ur starter to get tested

 

check the most important ground....the one from your battery to the frame...specially if the copper wiring is greenish and brittle looking/feeling.

 

So I'm going on a trip tommrrow so the SOL will just sit and collect dust for a week. I looked under the hood for like a quick min or two. I don't see any ground from the Batt to the frame. If I take the Neg/Pos cables off the Batt comes right out. I didn't look long enough to see a ground cable......unless it's the wire from the Pos wire bundle that has one go from the post connection to the fuse panel. I wanna add a pic and let someone verify my setup.

 

 

I just did the same swap and my car was doing the exactly same thing. Charge the battery, check terminals, grounds, and what it was for me was the starter. Have someone knock the starter with a hammer while you start the car. Gl

 

I'll try that... hate when it's the simple solution first. I was banking on my starter being brand new to not have to bang on it.... but your fix might be the fix for mine. I'm always down to try it anyways. Later 11
