random not starting. Dizzy?
my 94 del sol si has a brand new bat and a tested good alt. I just installed a brand new pos cable and the neg is fine.
Prob:
My car randomly wont start? I turn the key and the dash lights come on but nothing no grind no click, just nothing going on. Im charging up the battery tonight. maybe i have a slow drain? It does it so randomly though.
suggestions?

Re: random not starting. Dizzy?
I had a similar problem in my '93 Si del Sol. It started out as not starting on really hot days and eventually wouldn't start at all. It did try to though... it would crank but not turn over.
I replaced the main relay because a lot of people said on hot days the connections can separate and that is why it won't start in the heat. If your main relay is working you will hear it when you turn the key to the ON position - the fuel pump hum and some clicks. If you don't hear it, you may need a new main relay. For me, replacing the MR made it sound different, but it still wouldn't start until I replaced the dizzy.
I would check the ignition and fuses first though, since you're not getting anything when you turn the key. I am actually having this problem in my CRX right now (dash lights up but nothing happens when you turn the key), but unfortunately I haven't had time to mess with it...
Hope this helped?
