Civic Hatch starts an shuts off. NEED HELP!
My Civic hatch starts up for a few minutes or seconds then shuts off. Even if I'm revving it up. I can heard the cold air intake sucking in air but my D15B2 just spudders and dies. I've cleaned and changed just about everything I can think of. Someone shoot me some ideas!
I think the fuel pump is good. I say thos because I changed my fuel filter and I turned my key over and the screws were not tight enough so fuel leaked everywhere
I hear my main relay clicking twice after i turn my key over. I also hear my fuel pump priming up.
My car does start but slowly dies, like the fuel just stops going to the motor or something

Well today it wouldn't start for ****. And if I would start it would just die even if I was revving it up.
Anyway to test the fuel pump without dropping the tank?

Not without a fuel pressure gauge port. Older cars like these didn't have that little piece of goodness. You have spark, so the only other choice for an issue is a vac leak.
Dam, wish the ef had one. Already checked for vacuum leaks found nothing. So all I can really do is replace the fuel pump and hope it works. ya?
If you can swap out yo dizzy with a loaner see if that work, if you can get a loaner.
Also see what happen if you pull the vacuum off the FPR.
Any code ???

I'm sorry, sir. Apparently there is a way to test fuel pressure. See the thread on this page asking about obd0 code 1 for o2 sensor. Someone posted the procedure for checking fuel pressure.
get your service manual out and run through the procedures for each of those codes and get them fixed. if your computer is getting bad or no signals you cannot expect the engine to actually work right. some of the older service manuals also have a test procedure for the fuel pump regarding how much it flows, that will let you know if your pump is up to par.
I wish I had the service manual. I'll have to go buy one somewhete. I've been using Google but hasn't really helped. I have replaced the TPS,IACV, actually the whole intake manifold with working sensor from a crx. Just getting really frustrated
1991. Reset all my codes and the only code I have now is #10 IAT. Could that cause my car to just shut off after a few seconds of being started?
I would guess u change the main relay already??
So let back track. Did u do anything to the car prior to these issues or just one day it clunk out like this??
Also just a thought. But check your ground. There one on the thermostat housing see if it corroded. This is the ground for the ecm.

JuSt driving then it acted all crazy. Changet the intake manifold with all sensors. Then ran good for a week or so then just wouldn't stay running. I actually drove it around for 30mins yesterday, tried to floor it and it started to sputter. Reset all my codes and now it won't stay running again.
Did u try to swap out the dizzy?? See if u can borrow from someone u kno and try. If u close to me i let u use my dizzy
On the FPR remove the vacuum then start the car. See that help
