High RPM's?
Alright so upon getting the car this was never an issue. Recently whenever i start the vehicle and throttle i cant throttle too fast or the rpm's will jump really high and stay there unless i accelerate more slowly. It's a standard and before you tell me to shift i have been driving standard for years. Like if i want to pull out on to the road in front of other vehicles i cannot accelerate fast because the rpm's will jump to almost 6k. someone recommended i clean the iac but i tried and i was afraid i might mess something up by disconnecting so i gave up... is there anyway to clean the iac without taking this whole system apart? and is the IAC even the culprate here? advice?

You do know that the IACV is just that valve to the right of the throttle body on the the intake manifold right? You don't have to take off everything just intake box thing on top of the throttle body. (Sorry words are not working for me right this minute).
But the IACV is the thing that the green plug is on that is the closest to the camera in this picture.

There are just 2 bolts that hold it on. There are also small 2 water lines that run to it that I suggest that you just cut off to make removal easier and replace with new ones when putting it back on. The one that I can see looks pretty shot in that pic anyway.
You might want to pic one of these up as well before taking it off. http://www.fcpimport.com/products/ac...-36455-pt3-a01

It was very difficult to take off. Thos hoses were melted to the output and intputs so after i got the clamps off i had to pry them off with a flathead. The electrical connector was also melted on... Took me 20 mins >
. And to top it all off, the support bolts were THREADLOCKED!!! Took an act of god to get those ***** off. The problem is still slighlty there so I ordered this puppy last night. Only 50$http://www.ebay.com/itm/221449497773
If the iacv was never tampered with, its just factory thread lock liquid. If you don't tamper with the hoses for awhile as well, its normal to use a screwdriver or use some needle nose pliers to break off the grime in between
