hello , I have honda civic lx 1998 with auto trans and d16y7 so how to swap mini to y8 for vtec conversion
what i do need things require ?

 

You need to read the FAQ sticky.

 

Don't even waste your time. Especially with that automatic.

 

You need the complete swap including the ex auto tranny. The ex tranny is different from the dx/lx tranny so if you tried to use the ex ecu with the dx tranny you will have cel lights popping up.

 

get the y8 head, correct ecu, an ex/si manual transmission with linkage and everything to do auto to mani swap, clean up everything and do preventative matainence while its all apart, put all the new goodies in and get tuned, but BEFORE u do anything read the FAQ and research info on how to do it all urself, once u have the vtec and shorter gear ratios and being a 5speed period ur car will be a lot more fun

 

You're not tuning a P2P ECU. And the Ex transmission is a different beast than the SI.
