Default Prepping for auto z6 swap into 5sp dx.

ok ladies and gents, i wanna prepare for this upcoming weekend.

i plan to do the swap this friday, saturday and sunday.
heres the situation:
I have a b7 dx 5spd. and a z6 ex automatic.
I wanna swap the z6 motor into my dx.
ive got Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to do this.
I plan to use the auto ex ecu and throw a cel until i get paid on the 27th (then i can get the correct ecu)

what i need from everyone or anyone that responds is some advice or vantage points on how/where to start workin on the cars.
i also need a list of parts that i might need for the swap.
also need a list of what modifications will have to be made ( if any ) to adapt to the auto motor to my manual car.

right now im too tired to think of anything else. if i come up with anything ill edit it in here.

thanks in advance H-T,
Matt

i did this exact swap just over a year ago.
obviously you'll take the flywheel off the b7 motor and put it on the z6. only mods needed to be done are running 3 wires for vtec, 1 of which you can just ground to the chassis.
parts list:
new clutch (maybe)
timing belt & h2o pump
thermostat
new power steering, AC and alternator belts
coolant, oil & filter, trans fluid, brake fluid (for clutch master cylinder)

as for a starting point... just drain all fluids first and if youre taking youre stock trans out (which i woudl suggest doing) makue sure you break loose your axle nuts before jacking up car. its a pretty easy swap. just take your time and dont rush anything. good luck. any questions pm me

thanks for the reply,

i dont have power steering, and dont plan on using it, so what belt will i need in that case?
and can i re-use the water pump from one of the cars?
and do u have any part #'s that i need to use exactly for the belts or parts?

thanks,
matt

if you arent using power steering then you dont have to get a belt for it.
you can reuse the water pump but if yours has many miles on it just replace it. might as well do it now then later, just cheap insurance.
parts #s? just go into autozone and say you need belts for a 92-95 (pick any year) civic with the 1.6vtec motor. easy as that.

cant think of much. i mean, its a very straight forward swap. wiring is plug and play besides 3 vtec wires. and everything else is the same on the b7 as the z6. just gotta put the flywheel on the z6. its easy. do it then pm me telling me its done and it was easy
