B16A with GTX3071R in CRX
I have a 88 crx with a b16a in it and I have a gtx3071r that I would like to put on it. I know I would need to get better rods and pistons, was thinking to go 9.5 - 10 to 1 cr, with a full race or goautoworks manifold and downpipe. Either s300 or Neptune for tuning and was wondering what else I might need (cams, valves, springs, injectors). The car will be driven on the street every day and at the dragstrip often. What kind of power could I expect to get with 92 octane gas and this turbo. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions
with stock head, cams, inlet and throttle, you can reach about 500hp at 25-30psi. At this power no need for valves, valve springs, etc.
for more power with the GTX3071, you will need cams (I prefer the skunk2 pro1 or the crower 63401T-2), valve springs, better valves, serius porting, inlet manifold, larger throttle, sleeved block, and higher CR at 11:1. (rev limit at 10000rpm)
with all the above mabe you will see about 100 hp more.
for even more power a GTX3076 is required

He won't make 500hp on 92 octane...
with a 1.6l motor the chemical limit for 92-93 octane is around 420-430hp
want more than that, use methanol injection.
want even more? you need more displacement or e85/race gas

But you're in California, the carb ***** won't like what you're doing. you're sure to get pulled over, sent to a ref, and fined.

You don't need sleeves for a pump gas turbo motor. you won't make enough power to need them. you can make 500hp all day long on stock sleeves with a good tune. he's going to do well to make 450hp on 92, more like 400-425 which stock sleeves will handle with no issues
