Default f23a4 turbo project

Gonna build my 6th gen accord for a turbo. Wonder which brand would be best and cost efficient. Help please.

Also thinking about a bodykit....maybe a gt-r34 kit. Opinions

u can use ebay piping and intercooler. nothing else from ebay!!!
blow off valve (bov) - you can look into HKS, synapseetc.... no ebay brands
wastegate - tial, turbonetics..... no ebay brands
turbo - greedy, turbonetics, precision....... u guessed it, no ebay brands
ur gonna need bigger injectors, fuel rail, fuel regulator, engine management, turbo timer, electronic boost controller, a/f gauge, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, clamps, exhaust manifold, custom downpipe, better (bigger) flowing exhaust and a good tuner.
i might have left something out but i'm sure someone else will add it.
my advise is to piece a kit together than buying a complete kit. usually a complete kit might have an inferior peice that u wanna upgrade and will cost u more. piecing a kit will get u exactly what u want and need.
before u head down this road u need to have an idea of what ur power (hp) goals are. this will determine the cost of ur build. hopefully u have a 5sp because an auto will limit ur hp goals (this is my problem right now). the auto tranny in this gen is pretty bad.
u need to read up on alot of turbo info and when u think u got it, reread it.
now onto the bodykit, its ur car and u do what would make u happy cause its ur build. me personally i would pass on it.
boost is contagious and addictive u will want more!!!

Thanks. Do I need a full size intercooler or will a mini intercooler work?

that depends on how much power u plan to put down. if ur not planning serious power and i'm talking about over 400hp then a small intercooler is good.

gotta be careful with the piston rings. those are also a weak point on a turbo build.
when i did my build i have everything done. new turbo pistons, rods, valves, valvesprings and retainers and cam. also ARP headstuds so the head wont lift from the block during boost.
if ur planning to go this route also u might want to look into bisimoto.com for aftermarket engine parts.

with a good tuner u can run stock internals

How much boost are you running and what engine and style accord is it on.

That's pretty nice. I didn't know 10 lbs of boost would raise the hp that much.

it depends on the turbo not on how many lbs ur running. i can get a smaller turbo and it will spool up faster at 10lbs but not get u to the same hp gains. also depends on the tuner and his tune.

Oh alright. As you can tell this is mostly new to me.

My cousin has a set of srt4 500cc injectors and says they will work in my f23a4 vtec. Do you have knowledge if those will fit and work right?

did you use stock piston rings or did you get upgraded one? and using stock on your turbo engine, have they held up pretty well or have you had to replace? If they are upgraded ones then what brand are they?

engine internals are all from bisimoto.com
they have a piston and rod combo with ceramic coating that i ordered from them.
also valves, valve springs, retainers, seats and stage 2 cam. aem timing gear, aem fuel rail and pressure regulator. S300 for engine management. greedy turbo timer and elec boost controller
