Recently I had to replace the original transmission in my 98 civic. I decided to replace the EX transmission with the DX/LX model on the recommendation from David at Synchrotech after I explained I was looking to make the car more fuel efficient. The DX/LX transmission is geared differently and at 70 mph on the highway runs approximately 250-300 rpm lower than the EX model in 5th gear. I also had Energy Suspension polyurethane shifter stabilizer bushings installed at the same time. Shifting through all 5 gears is now extremely firm.

Shipping of the transmission was done through UPS and from the time of order and delivery was very fast!
