Default 96 sedan power window problems. help?

When i bought the car from the guy, he said the passanger front window is "jerry-rigged". He has 2 wires from the window motor to the engine bay to manually touch the wires to battery to roll the window down/up. Anyone know why its not working from any of the switchs on the door? & #2 is the back driver side window will only roll up/down when front driver door is closed. And passanger back window cant roll up from that door switch only... anyone have any problems like this? And what should i check first? Thanks

Probably wanna get all your door panels off, and just inspect the wires. If any look split or worn to the point that there isn't any contact being made at certain angles of the front door, then a new section of the same gauge wire should do.

Also check to see if your master window switch (the door panel switch on the very top that looks like a weird *** see-saw) is switched on, which will be showing red on one side, I forgot which.

Lastly, a multimeter will do a lot of good in diagnosis.
