Rain/Humidity Fuel Pump Engagement
Hey what's up guys, I have recently purchased a 95 Honda Civic DX and everytime it rains, the car does not want to start at all. I have to wait for it to dry off until the fuel pump wants to enage again, then were fine. I cleaned all of the grounds, and still im getting issues. i pulled the main relay, tested it and it came out fine. Im not sure what else could be making the car do this. Can anybody help me????
The ecu is located under the carpeting on the passenger side footwell wall.
It's held in place by a brace with 10 mm bolts. Remove the bolts and when the ecu is free you will have enough slack to remove the wire harness connectors. There is a label on the side of the ECU with a part number. You want to get the exact same ECU to avoid complications. Check with local junk yards for that part number. Probably about $125.

I used a piece of plastic drop cloth and just made a tent over the ecu before I rebolted the ecu in place. I didn't seal it tight or it would trap moisture inside the plastic. I just didn't want moisture from above drip or condense on the ecu body. Than I placed the carpet back over the ecu.
