Icon2 P1361, TDC intermittent signal fault

Hi,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with my 2000 Accord Type R.

If I go over 4000RPM the engine goes into limp mode and wont allow me over 3000RPM.

I have read the code using a wifi obd2 adapter. It was showing the error P1361, TDC intermittent signal error.

I was led to believe this was down to the camshaft position sensor within the distributor. I have now replaced the distributor cleared the EML but I still have the same problem. I have checked the sensor for any short circuit faults and all seems to be fine.
I disconnected the battery and tried an ECU reset but this made no difference.

Has anyone else experienced this and have a potential solution?

Thank you,

Jamie

Isn't the TDC sensor on the oil pump on Gen 6 cars?
