Trouble Removing Rusted Exhaust Bolts
So I was replacing my downpipe on my civic dx and was taking off the two spring bolts that connect the pipe that goes between the manifold and the back part of the car.
As you guess, both spring bolts snapped off. The only part left is the nut side, are these threaded into the pipe or do they use a nut?
I tryed to vice grip them with no luck, will a hammer work? I do not have access to torches.

you can use a propane torch to heat the nut and cool it with water and ragg to take the nut off (small propane torch can be had cheap at homedepot, lowes, menards. or use a wire brush to clean the thread and use penetrating lube.
anywho, have you tried prayer, my fam on facebook swear by it.
If you're doing DIY exhaust work at home, you're going to have to do some torching/grinding/cutting/drilling of broken bolts... no way around it. Those bolts become so corroded, over time, that no amount of PB Blaster or AeroKroil will do the trick.
Your best bet is to go out and buy a cheap torch and can of propane, heat it up, and drill it out or try to punch it through with a hammer and metal rod.

If you dont have any to help the guy... then just keep your useless comment to your self....
