Every time I step in the clutch, I can hear a spring being compressed.
It is very loud, My seats are noisy as well. My heat shield is rattling also.

Is it possible to run the car without any heat shield or at least the one above the cat?

If anyone cab help I would appriciate it.

 

one of my screws on the heat shield seems to always come off the clutch squeak has been happening to a lot of ITR's and could be a throwout bearing. The seats are also somewhat noisy lol, it's all part of the car mang.

 

im thinking of running without the heat shield? Is it safe?

 

My driver side seat is squeeky

 

It should be... i know many ppl, including my bro's EK, who removed their heat shield (above cat) for the same reason

 

I'm running a carsound cat without the heatshields.... it's a flimsy *** aluminum piece of metal, doesn't look like it serves much purpose.

ditto. I have grown fond of them. Especially my sway bar bushings. Oh crap, I drive an EK.

 

that thin peice of tin deflects heat from hitting the cabin of the car. it does do something.

 

Without the heatsheild my central console (and my feet) was getting hot. I wrapped a part of my exhaust line to reduce the heat transfert in the cabine
