Default Radiator cap PSI?

How many PSI is the factory cap. Mine has a .9 cap (13psi) but i keep looking online and the all say 16psi. I have a 99 civic 4 door value package. what keeps happening is sometimes ill pull up to a stoplight and ill see the temp gauge go up a tad. maybe a hair over half where it stays at when at operating temp. them it will come right back down. when i get it home after it does that and i pop the hood it has coolent sprayed all over the hood firewall and valve cover. and will have a little standing coolent on the top of the radiator. i dont think the cap is letting it push into the resovor and thats why i was going to get a new cap. What do you think?

Is your radiator OEM? Sounds like the cap seal is possibly leaking, or the radiator seal. The stock radiator uses a 1.1 bar pressure cap.

not sure if its OE or not. Ive only been driving it for a month or so. thinking about it now i am alomst sure its not. the car had been in a wreck before on that side. Should i get another .9 or a 1.1 cap?
