Default Radiator cap question

I put a new radiator in my car and the cap that came with it leaked so i changed it back to the stock Honda cap, i drove it about 10 miles and i poped the hood and the overflow bottle was boiling. WTF is up with that, it didn't over heat but it only did that with that cap. They were both rated at 1.1

your engine's probably getting a little too hot. When you had the leaky cap on, it was probably releiving itself through the cap instead of boiling into the overflow bottle. Maybe your thermostat's not opening all the way, or your fan's not coming on or something like that???

good information...im aiming more towards the radiator simply because it only does it with that particular radiator. try the 1.3 cap like that one guy said
