Default What to do with a z6 head?

Got the top half of a z6. Head and mani. No VC.

What should I do with it? I've been wanting a spare top end so i can build a motor but now i need a bottom end.

I'm using a y8 but was wandering what i could do with it.

Set it in your garage and cover it with a towel.

The pretty much what I wanted to know.

Is there a way to build up a torque convertor to handel a lot of boost so i can stay automatic? Or should i build the z6, with manual trans and then just find a manual shell to drop it in?

Was thinking that answer was coming, but hell, driving in Denver traffic with a stick, sucks..Majorly sucks.

Whats a realistic boost number to shoot for...or build for for that matter. I still would like to be able to hit 120-140 on the highway and be able to pull away from traffic when i pass.

Edit: I'm looking for a D16z6 block...correct?

if your ever looking for a cheap modified stock torque convertor hit me up. I have one when mine was auto but the trans did not last long for me ... it stalled at 2800-3k rpms... if your looking for a bigger stall u will have to buy one ... and I recommend beefing the trans up if u plan on boosting or stalling any higher then 3k

If you want to make power at mile high Denver you will need the forced induction forum. To do it right takes money. If you're going to spend the money you may as well work with a B18 platform.

Plan now and save money.
