Default Cv joint pops out of passenger side axle

So I recently replaced my torn boot on my passenger side axle because it's an OEM axle and there's no clicking sounds. I didn't want a crappy autozone one. Anyways, after removing the axle, I popped out the cv joint to replace with a new OEM boot, replaced the circlip/ring, greased it, and whatnots. Install everything back, and went for a test drive. Going straight and turning left and right is fine. Once I attempt a slow U-turn, the cv joint separates from the axle shaft. I made sure the cv joint was connected to the axle shaft perfectly. I yanked on it, moved it around or like rotated and it wouldn't break off the axle.
Anyone know a way to solve this? If not, I might just buy an aftermarket axle

At this point, whatever went wrong has no relation to what you have to do to make it right. Gonna have to take it apart again, recheck and reassemble. How did you install it back in the car?

What's wrong with AutoZone axles? Replaced mine with one almost two years ago and it's holding up fine.

Yeah, i've never heard of anyone insisting on oem axles before, seems odd to me.

Where does the separation occur exactly?

1) The outboard joint separates from the shaft? 2) The entire assembly
separates from the tranny? 3) At the inboard joint, the spider/shaft
pulls out of the "cup"? 4) At the knuckle?

1) Install a new stop ring.
2) Install a new set ring and make sure it seats properly.
3) Make sure axle nut is staked or make sure the part is
appropriate length.
4) Make sure the axle nut is staked.
