Stuck cv axle

Re: Stuck cv axle
Yeehaw, i dealt with this in the rain once. Tied a rope to a tree, the rope to a come-along, hooked the come-along to vice grips and locked down on the axle stub. Started working the come-along and it tried ti pull the car of its jack stands. Happened that thier was a telephone pole not to far from the other side so i ran a chain around the pole and hooked to the front suspension. Started working the come-along and the axle popped right out. This was done on my driveway. And it was pouring rain. I had tarps shut in the hood and hung over me Miserable but it worked.

That is the intermediate shaft, it doesn't come apart, that is what it should look like. The CV joint on that side should be female splines.
If you want to remove the intermediate shaft it can be unbolted from the engine block and then slid out of the transmission.
