use the datalog feature through the s300...the rd1 doesn't datalog with the s300 nor does it have any playback with datalogging.

I'm guessing he's asking because the rd1 takes the USB port up on the ecu not allowing a computer to be hooked up.
Or and you run a y style 2-1 adapter?

PM HRTuning - he can answer any and all questions in regards to the Tunerviews.

I just ordered an RD1 to accompany my AEM Series 2 in my drag car - with a serial and usb port option, the AEM doesn't need to be unplugged to have a computer plugged in for either tuning or datalogging.

With hondata you will have to disconnect the display to plug in your computer and pull logs, or while tuning, unless you can run some sort of "y", but I didn't look into if it will work, because it isn't an issue for me.

killacamcivic - You would need the RD1 and make sure to buy the adapter for AEM (Works with both Series 1 and series 2). It's an additional $65 I believe.

I wonder if you could try a small non-powered usb hub to be able to connect both at the same time.

I've ask this question before about the USB hub and answer was no, only one device can be on at once, but my concern is, since hondata does not want to work with hrtuning to make this happen, can't hrtuning make the adapter box for the s300 to have an extra USB port? or make it we can solder to CN2.

You can't run the rd-1 or tunerview while connected to a laptop unfortunatly. if yor not running resistor spark plugs your on-board datalogging will most likely not work either. So if you want to log and run the rd-1 at the same time you need to run resistor spark plugs IE bkr7e, bkr8eix, bkr9eix etc...

i spoke with HRtuning and he said you can't split the usb signal so its one or the other. i personally unhook my tunerview and run my laptop when i make passes and datalog through the laptop. if your doing this make sure the laptop is running on its battery or a real car charger. Do not run it off a power inverter to keep the battery charged. This causes interference with the ecu as well. Speaking of experiences here not off hearsay

this will be my method like i siad my tuner has set this up before when its off a switch and the s300 keeps it internally then you just hook to the laptop and download it then just hook the rd1 back up. not as easy as the aem was but its what it is. i have rwsistor plugs also due to running cpr

Then you would be fine keeping rd1 connected and internally data log. I like to have laptop hooked up so I can make changes in between passes.

just use the custom display in the s300 to monitor the stuff while tuning, etc. then plug the rd1 back up when done.
