aem ems comparison compared to hondata q's?
This question isnt on the abilites of either because im pretty informed on that. My question is that, from what ive read, hondata only modifies such things that need to be modified in regards to a boost application , such as fuel, ignition .. etc etc.
But retains things that the stock ecu can calibrate itself such as different weather conditions or cold starts and different temp settings.
Now with the aem ems (what i currently have but un-installed) it can do alot more, and then some, but what would it do in cases of stock ecu functions, such as weather changing and cold starts? since from what i remember the aem ems is a clean slate, and would i have to constantly get it tunned for different conditions?

We haven't really worked with the AEM EMS a lot but really for even a 600whp+ street cars Hondata has proven to work just fine... It's fine with me for that but if you really want a standalone I probably wouldn't go with the AEM unit... If it were my choice I would go with the standalone, and the my standalone of choice is definately MoTeC's M48 system... Yes it probably is a bit of overkill for a street car but it will control everything you want and isn't quite as complicated as the AEM EMS... We have F.A.S.T. on Duc's B18C/EJ6 which is also a good system (probably wouldn't go with it if you're running super high boost as you only have one more cell above 30lbs. to tune with)... Unless you're really into standalone and want to spend a decent amount of money Hondata would probably be the way to go... Just my $0.02 tho, Good Luck

That's cool to know, I haven't played with the software in a long time but I'm a lot more familiar with MoTeC so that's what I'm gonna stick with...
