Default how would a car feel with a bad map sensor?

I have a 01 gsr no codes, I cant figure out what is wrong with it. the only thing I havent changed is the map sensor and im running out of money to put in this car. it is really sluggish and dosent feel like a gsr. vtec is working. had any one had to replace a map sensor? if so what was your car doing before you changed it ???

have you checked fuel pressure, ignition timing, good spark, etc. i think when a map goes bad it either wont run at all, or could possibly make it pig rich.

Ohh it sure does....learned the the hard way lol yes slugishness can be an affect how do your plugs look ?

You need to do some actual diagnostics and not just throw money at the problem.

I have a multimeter. Tell me what to check. I've checked and calibrated the tps ,I guess I'm going to order a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure. The only code I get is when I un plug the map sensor.

Map sensor was fine. The timing belt tensor was screwing up causing it to jump off time. Problem fixed. !!!!

Awesome! I'm glad you got it worked out. The best advice I can give in the future is to pick up a Helms Service Manual. They have flowcharts for different symptoms and make it much easier to troubleshoot efficiently.

I'm thinking some day I might post a guide for people who don't have Helms manuals, since lots of people these days are having tune issues.
