Default Ctr city light help!

ok so i have ctr headlights and ive been searching the internet for a write up on how to install the city lights but i cant seem to find any. My friend keeps telling me that i have to wire them to the headlight low beam positive and the corner light positive so that when i turn on my head lights the city light turns off . Is he right?

You don't have to wire them to both, nor should you wire them to either. The wires and fuses are made for one bulb, not two. The proper way to do it would be to wire them to one of the blank spots in one of your fuse boxes, then wire them from there to either the ignition, or the corners.

i guess that could work or you could just tap the red and black wires on the corner light and be done with it. Thats what I did when I had my ctr headlights. If your city light stays on while your headlight is on you wont have and negative lighting effects

The city light is in the same part of the housing as the headlight...what's the point of having them on only when the headlight is on, drowning out their light?

If you wire them to the headlight wire, they'll only turn on when the headlights come on. Common sense. Wire them to the corners, and they'll only come on when the corners are on.

My suggestion was to wire them to the corners. Theyre still gonna be on when you flip your headlights on though because your corners dont turn off when you kick your headlights on

I know yours was, and so was mine. OP was talking about wiring them to the headlights.
