Default sharing my Koni/GC experience

Just got them installed during the weekend
Simply... Its an Amazinggggggg set up!!
Beyond my expectation.

My set up:

front: 430
Rear: 300
1 finger gap

Stock sway bars on my civic si 00

Although its considered an understeer bias setup and i was planning to get a bigger rear sway bar but not anymore, it takes corners perfectly, not harsh at all and great stability.
Highly recommened suspension for a DD.

I'd be wary of someone selling it for that cheap, unless it's used. More specifically, I'd be wary of the legitimacy of them. Koni and Ground Control both have great warranties, but I'd be willing to bet that, like most manufacturers, you have to buy from a certified distributor as well. The setup generally runs around $700.

Koni/gc isn't a brand. Its 2 dif brands that make 2 different things. Koni makes struts/shocks and gc(ground control) makes coilovers. For $250 its probably OTS gc coilovers which i wouldn't recommend because you probably arent gonna get any kind of the lifetime warranty you would normally get from gc.

I just did some checking on eBay, the cheapest Ground Control springs alone (no shocks) is $269. The cheapest Koni shock I can find is a single shock for $77, and that's for an orange Street series (not made for lowering), not a yellow Sport series (made for lowering, and what should be used). The cheapest set of four Koni Sports I can find is $479+$20 S/H. Keep in mind, I only spent about 15 minutes searching, but I'm fairly good at finding deals. That puts you at $768.

I'd like to see a link for the posting you found (feel free to PM it to me, if you don't want someone ninja'ing it from you), because I really doubt it's legitimate. I already have a suspension, so don't worry about me buying it out from under you.

Weaksauce has the combo for $955. I would send a PM to this guy. He's an H-T sponsor, and his company is (I think) still running a sale on the backage. T1 package, just the springs and shocks. T2, springs, shocks, and two top hats. T3, springs, shocks, and four top hats.

BTW turning the shock setting to 1/2 firm, will it have any effect on handling across corners? or only make it more stiff ?

You probably won't even be able to notice a difference. "Adjustable" is mainly just a feel-good thing.

Play with different settings on each side until you find something you like.

Don't think that cranking the shocks to full stiff is going to make it a track monster.
Remember these shocks aren't damping adjustable, they are rebound adjustable.

Yah sure i dont expect much noticable change if any.

On another hand, Is it a good idea to remove the front sway bar in order to get rid of the remaining understeer?
currently 26mm front and 13 mm rear.

Up the rear bar to a 22mm, and leave the front alone, just my opinion here.

Exactly, that was the best setup after calculating several factors (thx to Kozy)
