Okay so I'm wanting to throw whole new suspension on my 98 cx. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated. thinking about going Koni str orange struts with Ground Control coilovers. Good setup? Anyone have experience with either or that combo?

I just ordered GC/Koni yellows today actually. I have heard it is a really good setup. Plus, you cant beat a lifetime warranty! I was stuck between that and BC coilovers. The lifetime warranty won me over tbh.

Well the koni struts I was looking at getting are the orange ones. I'm only dailying the car. No auto-x or anything. I'm imagining that are a little lower quality and aren't adjustable, but they're 100 bucks cheaper so I figured I'd go with those.

Front Koni Sport Yellows, Rear Koni STR, with GC, and add ITR rear sway bar.
Adjustability is a plus.
Once you adjust the damping to find that sweet spot, you'll be glad ya had it.
Some shocks/spring combos just either feel too soft or too hard.
I never really cared for the rear damping though. IMO

If yellows are $100 more, buy the yellows.

Koni/GC is a good setup overall.

Remember, though, max lowering of about 1.25 to 1.38". And use the OTS rates for some level of comfort. If you choose your own rates...don't go beyond 300LB rear for street use.

If you want non-adjustable shocks, check out the Bilstein B6/B8. Again...use OTS spring rates meant for Bilsteins. And don't plan on lowering more than 1.38".

Def. go for yellows if you can, they will also last longer IMO. I would go koni yellow/GC or full coilovers. Lowering springs are a crap shoot.
